Join the Summertown Wombles litter pickers.
We’re cleaning up Summertown once piece of litter at a time.
An important part of our charity’s remit is to keep things local and improve where we live through funding and activities.
We feel that helping to keep our local area (Summertown in Oxford) clean and litter free is a worthwhile task. We hope that by organising teams of litter pickers, we can not only collect litter from the streets but also help to change the mindset of people who litter.
We want everyone to be as proud of our local community as we are.

Each litter-picking session will be held at the weekend and will only take a couple of hours of your time.
We will supply you with everyone you need, gloves, bin liners, fluoro jackets a litter picker. There will be coffee and refreshments for everyone and nice piece of cake at the end.
All the rubbish collected will be passed over to Oxford council and will be recycled where possible.
